Film Web “Back in the Shade”

I am very happy to present my latest film "Back in the Shade". This is a film that was created as part of a contest organized by Mastered for Johnnie Walker. We were really free on the brief for this film. With photographer Audrey Krawczyk, we wanted to make an abstract film, soft and enigmatic. The idea has germinated to create a mysterious film like the whiskey Johnnie Walker, showing through the liquid, the silhouette and the beauty of a young redheadwoman who would leave the viewer a sweet memory like a dream. We therefore contacted the beautiful Marie-Clotilde Ramos-Ibáñez to embody our muse. I also contacted Germain Lalot equipped with his Canon EOS 1DX MkII for shooting. Everything was filmed without any post-production tricks. We simply filmed through a plexiglass cube filled with whiskey Johnnie Walker our model, the camera focused on light. The effect was beyond our expectations with a soft and abstract rendering as I wished. We then added the mysterious music of Rachel Nusbaumer and Audrey had the idea to add the words of a verse of Aaron's song "U Turn" (Lili) which was mysterious enough to stick to our concept and keep A distance with the theme of alcohol, which would have made the whole thing too obvious. Thanks to the whole team and Lalalab for lending us their sunny terrace. For the small anecdote, we had originally thought of filming other complementary sequences and this effect should have been a single part of the film, but in front of the beauty and simplicity of the concept we decided to keep only this sequence for our film. So we intend to make another film quite different on another subject with our other very beautiful images ....

Je suis très heureux de vous présenter mon dernier film "Back in the Shade". Il s'agit d'un film qui a été crée dans le cadre d'un concours organisé par Mastered pour Johnnie Walker. Nous avions une carte blanche totale. Avec la photographeAudrey Krawczyk, nous avions très envie de faire un film abstrait, doux et énigmatique. L'idée a donc germé de créer un film enivrant comme le whisky Johnnie Walker montrant à travers le liquide la silhouette et la beauté d'une jeune femme rousse qui laisserait le spectateur un doux souvenir comme un rêve. Nous avons donc contacté la belle Marie-Clotilde Ramos-Ibáñez pour incarner notre muse. J'ai aussi contacté Germain Lalot équipé de son Canon EOS 1DX MkII pour la prise de vue. Tout a été filmé sans aucun trucage en post production. Nous avons tout simplement filmé à travers un cube de plexiglas rempli de whisky Johnnie Walker notre modèle, la caméra axée vers la lumière. L'effet a été au delà de nos espérances avec un rendu doux et abstrait comme je le souhaitais. Nous avons ensuite ajouté la musique mystérieuse de Rachel Nusbaumer et Audrey a eu l'idée d'y ajouter les paroles d'un couplet de la chanson de Aaron "U Turn" (Lili) qui était assez mystérieux pour coller à notre concept et garder une distance avec le thème de l'alcool, qui aurait rendu le tout trop évident. Merci à toute l'équipe et à Lalalab de nous avoir prêté leur terrasse ensoleillée. Merci également à Ineoprod pour le matériel. Pour la petite anecdote, nous avions à l'origine pensé à filmer d'autres séquences complémentaire et cet effet aurait dû être une partie seule du film, mais devant la beauté et la simplicité du concept nous avons décidé de ne garder que cette séquence pour réaliser notre film. Nous comptons donc faire un autre film tout à fait différent sur un autre sujet avec nos autres très belles images....
